PURPOSE:

CHECK FOR CORRECT LABELLING confirms new and altered existing equipment is inspected to Check that the labelling is correct.

NOTE: This list is not exhaustive and other equipment specific labelling checks might be required as specified in Test Specifications.

NOTE: Equipment includes cables and wires, and wiring trunking.

Labelling is referred to in three contexts in Signal Works Test Specifications:

• The labelling of equipment to determine its function, e.g. relay label on a rack: "34 HR".

• The labelling of wires or cables terminated on equipment or links.

• The provision of additional labels.
