scope:

This Standard covers roof drain terminal outlets used for connecting roof drain downspouts in sizes NPS‐2 to NPS‐12, and specifies requirements for materials, physical characteristics, performance testing, and markings. Roof drain terminal outlets covered in this Standard are intended for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

The requirements of this standard are not intended to prevent the use of alternative materials or methods of construction, provided such alternatives meet the intent and requirements of this Standard.

Proposals for amendments to this Standard will be processed in accordance with the standards writing procedures of IAPMO.
