The procedures, methods, and documentation requirements in this LP describe the application of ASHRAE Guideline 0-2005 for lighting and control systems, including documentation, test procedures and checklists.1 As such, this LP should be considered a supplement to the Commissioning Process detailed in ASHRAE Guideline 0-2005. The Commissioning Process is summarized herein for review and essential understanding by lighting designers; for additional information, the reader is referred to ASHRAE Guideline 0-2005.
This LP includes requirements for lighting and control systems to fully support the documentation, verification, and acceptance activities during each phase of the Commissioning Process, including a Systems Manual and training for operations and maintenance personnel and occupants.
