Organization: MODUK
Publication Date: 14 April 2021
Status: active
Page Count: 15
scope:

Part 1 introduces the concept of embarked aviation to non-air related Delivery Teams (DTs) and allows the development of operability/capability levels that are translated and applied as functional design requirements in Part 2 and Part 3 of the Standard.

Regulation for the Ship-Air Release process for Platform and Air System operators are published in RA 1029 and RA 1395. As a Ship-Air Release is pan-class, the MOD Ship's Safety Certificate (Aviation) should be checked prior to embarking to ensure further restrictions have not been imposed. Extant Certificates can be obtained from the Naval Authority System or by email from the MAA's Maritime Aviation group address. Further Information relating to the SA-R release can be found within BRd 766 EAO 1395(1).
