Purpose:
In accordance with the authority in DoD Directive 5105.84, Section 2334(g) of Title 10, United States Code, and DoD Instruction (DoDI) 5000.73, this issuance implements policy, assigns responsibilities, and provides direction for developing, implementing, and operating the system to collect cost and software, technical, and maintenance and repair parts data reports, collectively referred to as cost and software data reports (CSDRs).
