This specification applies to any organisation involved in the supply of batteries or cells to make up a battery. It applies to any organisation that proposes to supply Network Rail with batteries or cells for use in Off-Grid Power Supply Systems that will be treated as a controlled product requiring product acceptance in line with NR/L2/RSE/100/05.
Purpose
This specification sets out the technical requirements of batteries or cells to make up a battery for use in Off-Grid Power Supply Systems, in line with current Network Rail standards and procedures to confirm a product offered is the best solution for Network Rail.
