The primary users of this guidance document are those involved in the maintenance of FS2500 'Metro' Jointless Track Circuit equipment on the Bakerloo Line. The document should be used by Asset Stewards when details of the operations and maintenance for the equipment are required.

Note: Section 3.8 of this document contains general details on useable track circuit lengths and configurations (including those using two receivers), in open and tunnel sections, and the range of operating frequencies, but the Supplier should be consulted regarding the procurement specification of equipment, according to requirements such as location, and whether it is required for maintenance or new-build purposes.

Purpose

This document provides guidance for the installation, set up, commissioning, fault finding and maintenance (in accordance with S1199 'Signalling and Signalling Control - Operation and Maintenance') of the track and room-located equipment of FS2500 'Metro' Jointless Track Circuit (JTC) equipment supplied by Siemens (was Invensys / Westinghouse), for use on the Bakerloo Line.
