scope:

This standard provides criteria and guidance to systematically evaluate SSCs for remaining lifetime and determine the need for additional analysis and inspection to address aging management in support of extending the life of NRNFs.

This standard applies to NRNFs²⁾ including facilities such as nuclear material processing and storage facilities as well as fuel fabrication and enrichment facilities or conversion/deconversion facilities.

²⁾ Although this standard was developed with a focus on NRNFs, this standard can apply to multiple process facilities in many industries with equipment designed of similar materials and operating in similar environments, including nuclear facilities with nuclear reactors.
