scope:
PURPOSE.
In accordance with the authority in DoD Directive 5105.53 (Reference (a)), the January 11, 2021 Deputy Secretary of Defense Memorandum (Reference (b)), and DoD Instruction 5200.01 (Reference (c)), this Manual implements policy established in Reference (c), assigns responsibilities, and provides procedures for members of the public to request a declassification review of records classified under the provisions of Executive Order 13526 (Reference (d)), or predecessor orders.
