active, Most Current
Organization: NR
Publication Date: 3 September 2022
Status: active
Page Count: 10
scope:

This specification applies to individuals who are introducing or amending axle counter systems for Network Rail managed infrastructure, where EULYNX interfaces are required.

Whilst EULYNX defines the TDS System as either an axle counter or a track circuit, this document applies only to axle counter products.

This document contains the Network Rail application requirements for the following EULYNX system and interface:

• Train Detection System [Eu.Doc.43]

• Interlocking to Train Detection System Standard Control Interface (SCI-TDS) [Eu.Doc.44]

• Maintenance and Data Management System to Train Detection System Standard Diagnostic Interface (SDI-TDS) [Eu.Doc.81]

Requirements in NR/L2/SIG/19820/L01 are applicable in addition to the above.

Figure 1 provides an overview of the Sub-Systems and Standard Communication Interfaces defined for EULUNX. The relevant sub-system and interfaces to this document are shown in red.

Purpose

This specification sets out the specific technical requirements for the application of the EULYNX Train Detection System (TDS) and interfaces.

It is intended that this document is read in conjunction with NR/L2/SIG/19820/L01 Specification for EULYNX - Generic, and all applicable subsystem and interface documentation published by EULYNX Consortium.
