This part of ISO/IEC 14496 specifies functionalities for the communication of font data as part of the MPEG-4 encoded audio-visual presentation. More specifically, it defines:
Font format representation that is utilized for font data encoding (OpenType);
Font compression technology for TrueType and OpenType fonts with TrueType outlines; and
The coded representation of information in font data streams.
