Standard Test Method for Iron Chip Corrosion for Water–Miscible Metalworking Fluids

active, Most Current
Publication Date: 1 October 2022
Status: active
Page Count: 3
ICS Code (Petroleum products in general): 75.080
ICS Code (Corrosion of metals): 77.060
ICS Code (Lubricants, industrial oils and related products): 75.100
scope:

This test method covers evaluation of the ferrous corrosion control characteristics of water-miscible metalworking fluids.

The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard.

Exception-Note 1 contains inch-pound units since the drill sizes and feed rates do not have readily available metric equivalents.

Exception-U.S. Standard sieve sizes include mesh values.

This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety, health, and environmental practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.

This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.
