scope:

This Competence standard applies in circumstances where any person is required to implement and monitor safe working systems for signalling maintenance and renewal activities on Network Rail managed infrastructure.

The level and extent of responsibility includes both your own safety and that of work colleagues. Where necessary, authorisation shall be obtained before work is carried out. You will be expected to work within approved procedures and specifications.

Purpose.
