This specification covers the design, manufacture, installation; testing, commissioning and ongoing cleaning performance of new installations at Network Rail owned Light Maintenance Depots (LMDs).
Purpose
This specification defines the standard against which any new carriage washing machines to be installed within Light Maintenance Depots owned by Network Rail shall be procured, whether the depot is operated by Network Rail or through a third party lease arrangement.
