SCOPE AND REQUIREMENTS

General requirements

The sample shall show no signs of harmful defects in use, such as noticeable sink marks, void and peeling-off on the surface layer.

Standard conditions of test laboratory

Standard conditions of test laboratory shall be 23±2°C in temperature and 50±5% in relative humidity. When the test laboratory is not in the standard conditions, temperature and relative humidity at the test shall be recorded.

Pre-treatment condition

The test sample shall have been used for at least 72 hours prior to test. Appropriate pre-treatment shall be conducted according to the test method.

No of test piece and test piece condition

Depending on the test method, either use a finished product or a part of a finished product as a test piece. Unless specified in the test standard, at least 3 test pieces shall be used for approval test and at least 1 for quality check and incoming inspection.

PURPOSE

This standard aims at specifying the test procedures and requirements of the plastic fuel rail, which is used to feed liquid or gas fuel.
