Purpose/Material Description.

This standard specifies the requirements for glass fiber reinforced, heat stabilized, polyamide 66 (Nylon 66) resins and any alloys of polyamide optimized for Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) performance. Resins approved to this specification have been optimized for NVH performance in the 70 °C to 90 °C range.

Materials are classified according to chemistry and percent reinforcement. Additional reinforcement percentages and types may be added as necessary.
