INTRODUCTION AND TESTING ENVIRONMENT
The following tests were developed by the NGIIF/SS7 Ad hoc Committee to verify the compatibility of networks during interconnection. These tests are intended to be used as a set of minimum tests of the SCCP protocol portion of the network service part for connectionless services only (Class 0).
It is assumed that the interconnecting networks may have some additional tests they may wish to perform during interconnection. In that case, these tests will be part of the bilateral agreements developed for SS7 network interconnection.
Schematics included with the test scripts indicate a minimum network configuration. The actual test network may include intermediate STPs.
