This procedure provides direction on how to manage temporary and emergency speed restrictions and emergency blanket speed restrictions.
PURPOSE
This procedure outlines the framework in which Route Control manages speed restrictions. It sets out how the Railway Undertakings are correctly and promptly notified, in a consistent format, when speed restrictions that might affect the running of their trains have been imposed, varied or withdrawn.
