scope:
This module applies to the procurement of surge arresters intended for installation on either:
a) new a.c. electric traction systems, or
b) modified existing a.c. electric traction systems,
at either 25 kV (classic) or 25-0-25 kV (autotransformer) overhead contact line systems (OCLS).
This module supplements BS EN 50119 and BS EN 60099-4 for the purchase, quality control and inspection of such surge arresters.
