scope:

This standard is applicable to both third / fourth rail systems and applies to Investment Project and Asset Management staff, managers and contractors who are planning / preparing to perform, or are currently working on or adjacent to, a live conductor rail.

This standard does not apply to work inside DC substations that are subject to the requirements of NR/SP/ELP/21060.

Purpose

This standard identifies a process, to be followed by Network Rail and its contractors, when planning and undertaking work on or adjacent to conductor rail(s) within Investment Projects and the project delivery arm of Asset Management.
