This process covers the corrective maintenance of Network Rail direct maintained telecoms assets. This process applies to you if:

• You work in Network Rail Infrastructure Fault Control as a controller or manager.

• You manage or supervise operational teams or technical support staff.

• You attend operational failures.

• You investigate operational failures.

• You check or review operational failures.

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to define the process for corrective maintenance of Network Rail operational telecoms assets. This SMP applies to all maintenance technical disciplines.
