This Specification applies to design and manufacturing requirements for rail mounted lubricators for use by London Underground Limited.

Purpose

The purpose of this Specification is to specify the requirements for the design and manufacturing requirements for rail mounted lubricators for use by London Underground Limited. Rolling stock mounted lubricators are not considered within this specification.

Track mounted rail lubricators considered within the text are running rail lubricators and check rail lubricators.

NOTE: The reader shall note that the major components of these lubricators may be identical and that the variety in application is achieved by the addition of ancillary components which accommodate the additional operating requirement.
