30% Talc Filled Polypropylene

Material Description. This specification defines general requirements for raw materials of 30% talc filled polypropylene applied to interior or exterior parts of a vehicle.
Group 1. Talc filled raw materials which have excellent heat resistance and dimensional stability, and use high crystalline PP as base especially for the improvement of melt flow, scratch resistance and rigidity.
Group 2. Talc filled raw materials which have excellent heat resistance and dimensional stability, and use PP Copolymer as base for the improvement of impact strength. Ex) Arm rest, Room lamp housing, Air cleaner.
Group 2 Type 1 R(Recyclate). Recyclate is the recompounded which is made by compounding with virgin resins and recycled content such as post-consumer and/or postindustrial materials. Virgin material may be substituted for this recyclate provided parts made from virgin material have been approved by the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). Recyclate material is indicated by code letter "R" in the virgin material after material specification number (suffix). Cf. Recyclate should not be applied to appearance parts for interior and exterior except appropriate part performance validation and specific validation, and basically used as for Black MIC (Molded in Color) parts.
Group 3. Talc filled raw materials which have excellent heat resistance and dimensional stability, and use PP Homopolymer as base for the improvement of rigidity.
Symbols. Material indication: > PP-TD30 <. Detailed contents shall conform to the indication method of synthetic resin materials for vehicles. (Spec. No: GMW3116)
Typical Applications. This specification shall be applied to raw materials of 30% talc filled polypropylene used in all passenger cars by GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology Company (hereinafter referred to as the "GMDAT"). Details for typical applications see paragraph 1.1.1.
