This Standard specifies the light gauge steel H sections which are formed either by the continuous high-frequency resistance welding or by this method combined with the high-frequency induction welding to be used for general structure for building, civil engineering, etc. (hereafter referred to as the "steel sections").

The requirements when using coated steel strips shall be in accordance with Annex A in addition to the text.
