Purpose

To define the process to be used for obtaining Metronet Rail's approvals for works that would have an effect upon the existing fire precautionary arrangements currently provided within premises and facilities under the control of Metronet Rail.

To ensure Metronet Rail's legal obligations with respect to compliance with all current applicable fire safety legislation are fulfilled.

To provide consistency of application across all parties that are liable to request a change that may affect existing fire precautions/compliance plans and provide a fully documented audit trail of approvals that is necessary to demonstrate assurance to London Underground.
