This engineering standard Part 1 details the requirements to be applied to all cables. (Nc)

It shall be used in conjunction with Part 2 (Testing methods) of this E4156 document and an associated definitive specification, since by itself it does not detail all requirements for a particular cable. This Part 1 is an integral part of these other documents and shall not be used in isolation. (Nc)

Its business objective is to ensure that performance criteria for cables are consistent throughout LUL. (Nc)

This standard has been significantly changed from the previous version, EMEST- 03-006-A1: Part 1, which it replaces. (Nc)
