Purpose: The purpose of this publication is to state the joint requirements for NATO waste management (WM) during NATO-led military activities. This AJEPP does not address the treatment of wastewater, material which is classified for security reasons1, infectious waste, warfare agents and explosive ordnance, including ammunition and ammunition remnants, decontaminating agents, radioactive substances and waste in connection with maritime operations2.
