This commercial item description (CID) defines the requirements of a demounter, pneumatic tire, bead breaker rated at 25,000 lbs. The demounter, pneumatic tire, bead breaker is hydraulically actuated and powered by an air driven hydraulic pump (Type 1) or by an explosion proof electric motor (Type 2). The bead breaker is designed to break the bead of an aircraft tire (15 to 60 inches in diameter and 12 to 26 inches wide) from the rim of an aircraft wheel (13 to 32 inches in diameter).
