NATO - STANAG 4635

THE NATO ARMAMENTS ERROR BUDGET

active, Most Current
Organization: NATO
Publication Date: 2 August 2011
Status: active
Page Count: 45
scope:

Aim

The aim of this agreement is to present a common model that represents the NATO Armaments Error Budget (NAEB). The model has been originally developed for indirect fire conventional spin-stabilised unguided artillery projectiles (high explosive (HE) and cargo) using a number of artillery firing techniques that are currently used in the field. By using the methodology contained in this agreement it will make it possible to compare relative influences of the sources of errors and develop various technologies to improve delivery accuracy. This agreement covers the artillery error budget for projectiles but it is intended that the model should in future be applicable for all NATO armaments.
