PURPOSE AND SCOPE
This method determines the breaking strength of fabrics by the raveled strip method. The method is also applicable to narrow fabrics. It is not recommended for knitted fabrics and may have to be modified for certain wov3en fabrics cottoning high-stretch yarns.
The procedure is applicable to fabrics either in the conditioned state or when wet. It is particularly suited to the determination of change in breaking strength due to wetting.
