PURPOSE AND SCOPE

This method assesses the fastness of the colour of textile materials to wetting with water. It is applicable to dyed, printed and otherwise coloured fibres, yarns and fabrics of all kinds.

In the case of multicoloured materials, more than one test may be necessary to cover all colours in the pattern.

This method may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous. This document does not purport to address all the safety aspects associated with its use.
