This Standard specifies the methods for determination of international rubber hardness degrees (IRHD) of vulcanized or thermoplastic rubbers.

The specified methods in this Standard cover the hardness range from 10 IRHD to 100IRHD. This Standard does not specify a method for the determination of IRHD by an IRHD pocket hardness meter.

NOTE 1 The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.
