This Part of the Standard describes the construction, identification and testing of optical fibres for communications and data transfer applications for internal fixed applications.
The sheathing of the cables shall present a limited fire hazard and produce limited levels of toxic fumes, smoke and corrosive products when assessed by the methods of test in this Part of the Standard.
