This regulation prescribes provisions of specified Army Medical Department (AMEDD) officer procurement programs for obtaining career officers for the Active Army. Programs included offer post- graduate professional training to selected graduates of colleges and universities; ensure delay of participants from active duty pending receipt of professional degree; and offer students in health professions an opportunity to observe AMEDD medical programs. All applicants must meet specific requirements as set forth in the chapter for the program concerned. This regulation is applicable to applicants in the Active Army, the Army National Guard, the US Army Reserve (ready and standby), and to applicants in a civilian status.
