scope:
This INTERIM Defence Standard specifies requirements for an extrusion grade of natural/ polybutadiene rubber mix which is specially compounded to be resistant to crystallization on exposure to low temperatures, principally intended for use in emergency parachutes.
The material is intended for the manufacture of various extruded rubber items which are required to retain their resilience and which are required to operate within the approximate temperature range of -60 to + 70°C, particularly when long term exposure to low temperatures may be involved.
