Purpose. This specification expands the FAA system-level requirements allocated to the RMMS subelement in the NAS System Specification (NAS-SS-1000), Volume V, by further defining the requirements to be fulfilled by the RMMS Core.

This System/Segment Specification establishes the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) functional, performance, and interface requirements associated with the Core portion of the Remote Maintenance Monitoring System (RMMS) subelement of the Maintenance and Operation Support (M&OS) Element of the National Airspace System (NAS) Plan.
