This Section of the Code of Practice (CP) specifies the main types of established flowmeters currently to be found in general use in a wide user field. It covers positive displacement, differential pressure, variable area and turbine types. For each type of flowmeter the CP includes:
- Description
- Principles of method of measurement
- Limits of use (for liquid and gas flows)
- Advantages and disadvantages
- Guide to flow measurement accuracies attainable (detailed computational procedures are included in Part 2).
