This instruction applies to 2s Cog shipboard propellers and propulsion shafting under the inventory management of NAVSEA 56X. Communication relative to this instruction shall be to NAVSEA 56XF.
Purpose. To issue procedures for maintaining ship's propellers and shafts in Ready For Issue (RFI) condition and controlling the issue and use of associated special tooling. This includes repairing, preserving, packaging, packing, marking, inspecting and storing procedures.
