This NES covers the preparation, coating and maintenance for non-slip coatings applied to aircraft and helicopter flight decks of surface ships and also steel and aluminium weather decks.
Weather decks fitted with wood decking do not require a non-slip coating. Details of the laying of the wood decking are given in NES 157.
