Aim and Scope of ATP-41

The aim of this publication is to outline the concept, organization, command and control, procedures, logistics, and communications to be used in airmobile operations as part of NATO Forces operating on land.

The airmobile operation is a relatively new aspect of warfare, and considerable development may be expected before it reaches its full potential. Owing to the wide variety of organizations and equipment within the NATO forces, this publication is concerned with fundamentals. For the present, matters of detail are reserved for national decisions.
