MODUK - DEF STAN 80-96

Lacquer, Plasticized Phenolic Resin, Type QX

inactive, Most Current
Organization: MODUK
Publication Date: 1 January 1985
Status: inactive
Page Count: 9
scope:

This Standard defines the requirements for a lacquer, supplied in the ready for use condition, required for coating metal powders for use in pyrotechnic compositions.

The designation 'Type QX' indicates that the material is of a quality suitable for application where a high degree of compatibility with explosives is a requirement. However, its compatibility with all explosives in all environments has not been established and Design Authorities should seek advice on particular applications from the Director, Royal Armament Research and Development Establishment, Waltham Abbey.
