Dimensions.

This INTERIM Standard specifies the interface dimensions, and the positions and sizes of interconnections and fixings, of various types of MiCM 40s for operation in the range 20 to 40 GHz.

Coding.

It describes the way in which the module coding is built up to ensure module compatibility.

Nomenclature.

It establishes the nomenclature of the various aspects of MiCM 40s, and the grid system by which the position of the external interconnections and fixing holes are defined.

Mounting.

It describes the physical arrangement by which the module may be mounted into a microwave system.

Customer guidance.

It provides guidance (clause 9) on additional information which the supplier may need at the procurement stage.

Circuit type.

It permits any type of microwave circuit or combination of circuits which meets the constraints imposed by this document.

Dielectric.

Substrate relative dielectric constants are permitted up to a maximum value of 16 for RF ports.

Sizes.

Lengths and widths of a MiCM 40 are permitted up to a maximum of 24 x 24 mm (30 x 24 mm if flanged).
