AIM

The aim of this agreement is to standardize the following, for new

demolition materiel to be used for NATO armed forces:

a. design principles and criteria for safety and suitability for

service (AOP-31), and

b. methods for testing and assessment of safety and suitability

for service (AOP-32).

The objective is to:

a. to ensure appropriately the safety and suitability for service,

and

b. to standardize design, testing and qualification of the materiel and to avoid duplication of analyses and tests of demolition materiel supplied by another nation or service.
