This Specification relates to precision resistors consisting of one or more windings of resistance wire on a suitable fomer. It is primarily for components for use in Service equipment but other users are invited to adopt it if they so desire.
The following general types are recognised:-
Single Units, Insulated: Resistors which maintan a specified insulation resistance between the terminations and the outer case.
Single Units, Non-Insulated: All other types of single units.
Multiple Units, Insulated or Non-Insulated: Two or more resistors, within the same housing, whose resistance ratio is matched within the tolerance limits stated in the relevant oder or contract.
It should be noted that no list of Standard Values, Temperature Coefficients or Joint Service Catalogue Numbers are included in this Specification.
