NATO - ALP-4.1 SUPP 1

NATO STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES FOR THE OPERATION OF ADVANCED AND FORWARD LOGISTIC SITES

active, Most Current
Organization: NATO
Publication Date: 1 April 2001
Status: active
Page Count: 128
scope:

General

This document provides guidance on the setting up, organization and operation of an Advanced Logistic Support Site (ALSS) / Forward Logistic Site (FLS) within a Multi-National Logistics Command (MNLC) organisation. The document is for the general guidance of the ALSS/FLS Commander and his staff and does not supersede guidance or instructions laid down in other NATO or National publications. It is stressed that the structures, manning and procedures detailed in the following chapters are not mandatory, since the actual composition of the ALSS/FLSs will depend entirely on the size of the operation/exercise and will be determined during the planning phase. Flexibility combined with the use of minimum resources commensurate with ensuring the success of the mission and maximum cooperation between all nations involved is essential.
