This INTERIM Defence Standard specifies requirements for low density antistatic polyethylene film of nominal thickness 150 pm and sheet of nominal thickness 1.5 mm suitable for use in the fabrication of antistatic protective structures. The material has the ability to deal with frictional charge generation, but is not able to dissipate static or protect devices from electrostatic potentials produced by an external source.
