This specification covers two types of light hoods designed to provide narrow beams of light for landing, takeoff, and taxiing of aircraft.
Light hoods shall be of the following types, as specified:
Type I - For airport use. Type II - For heliport use.
intended Use:
The hoods are intended for use with the airport and heliport lighting sets in combat areas when maximum security is required.
