This specification establishes requirements for humidity indicating, dehydrator plugs that are intended to protect aircraft engine cylinders and other similar equipment against corrosion due to moisture and to indicate through color change unsafe levels of humidity (see 6.1).
Dehydrator plugs shall be of the following types, as specified (see 6.2).
Type I - Reusable. Type II - Reusable and refillable.
Unless otherwise specified, the following specifications and standards of the issue listed in that issue of the Department of Defense Index of Specification and Standards (DoDISS) specified in the solicitation form a part of this specification to the extent specified herein.
