This specification defines the requirements for assembly of complete Category I Instrument Landing System equipment stations using primarily Government-owned materials, including both units that have been removed from service and newly-procured equipment, plus additional items to be provided by the contractor. It is intended that this specification be used in conjunction with specification FAA-E-2556 for the complete turnkey establishment of instrument landing systems.
