This Defence Standard (DEF STAN) specifies the requirements for the design and manufacture of Shock Support Brackets and Fixings for all portable Fire Extinguishers as described in BS EN 3 Part 5, DEF STAN 07-204 Parts 1 and 3, DEF STAN 02-860 Parts 2,3 and 4, BR 2170, BR 4007 and BR 8470 as used on board HM Surface Ships and Submarines.
The Shock Support Brackets are for all types of extinguishers suitable for use on HM Surface Ships, Submarines, Royal Fleet Auxilarys (RFAs) and Royal Maritime Auxilary Service (RMAS) craft.
